TRIP TO SEATTLE

My youngest turned 2 early November and before his birthday we took a trip to Seattle to visit the friends and family. His last free flight, boo hoo! When we arrived it was raining, what a surprise! We stayed at my parents house for almost two weeks. Two weeks seem long enough to visit friends and spend time with family on paper. In reality it went by to quick.
We spend Halloween trick or treating in Magnolia it was one of the places to be, tons of people. We also went to the aquarium with my nephew and visited friends for dinner. We had a wonderful time!

KNITTED HATS AND SCARF

A while back I was talking with my mom about sewing and she mentioned she has a coworker that knits. The next thing that came out of my mouth was "mom you should ask her to knit Ofelia a hat". So she did and in the mail came a beautiful knitted hat. Then not that long ago the same coworker make a couple more hats and scarf. I just love handmade things especially things that you can wear. Even better because it's one of a kind.
Thank you H!

THE HOUSE MY DAUGHTER BUILT

This summer O had a lot of project that she did.  One of them involved going into the woods that we have behind our house to pick some supplies and this is the fairy house my daughter built she did have help from Prudy :)  By the way the fairy did visit a couple times and O was delighted. From what O says the fairy loved her tiny bed and soft leaf blanket.

MEXICO LINDO

A couple weeks ago we took a family vacation to Mexico. My dad and mom drove down from Seattle a week before and my sister flew down a week after we got there. The kids were so happy to see them once our plane landed and I was so happy not to have to watch them every second while there :)

I also think the thought of living for two weeks next to a small corral of farm animals made my tiny ones super happy.

Loved making tamales!

Going to the rodeo.

Since I was in my teens my parents would take us to my fathers town in the heart of Mexico. At that time the town had only one phone. TV, there was no TV and public water came from a spring that would only be turned on from 10am till 4 or 5 pm daily. Also back then I had to wash my clothes by hand. Now, most of the people have phones, washing machines and TV. The water is still from 10am to 4pm. I love the fact that every thing is so simple and within walking distance. Tacos, delish tacos on the corner in the plaza. Freshly made flour tortillas or corn tortillas delivered to your door every morning you knew they'd be coming by the honk of the car horn. My mouth is watering, drip, drip. Every time I leave I'm so happy and grateful for what my parents went thru to have the life they live.  I also want my kids to understand that people have to work hard and you don't need the new toy or designer clothes to be happy. Just family and good food! See you soon Mexico Lindo!

I really don't want you to grow up but every time I ask you not to, your reply is " I have too so I can take care of you and sew like you" :)
From birth you've been a wonderful baby girl ok not from birth maybe from age one. We love watching you grow and ask questions about everything because your eager to learn. I heart to hear you say you love me out of the blue with all your heart. I know that will stop when you get older along with letting me hug you and kiss you but right now your still my baby girl who turns 4 today.

Our Bounty

The first thing I did when we moved into our new house other than unpack was grow a garden. I transplanted seedlings that we grew right before summer. Not realizing how well and fast flowers and vegetables grow out here on the East Coast.  I'm growing jalapenos and tomatoes and wow they grow like mad and from what my hubby says the jalapenos are very spicy :)

Too bad I don't eat jalapenos, NOT!
